The Farm

Gortbrack Organic Farm is an award winning, innovative centre for Environmental Education,Local Organic Food Training and Development, Eco Landscaping and Cabin Accomodation, based on a 10-acre site overlooking Tralee Valley, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Gortbrack Organic Farm has a diverse range of ecological & native Irish habitats, ranging from ponds to wild bog land, wildlife habitats including native hedgerows, woodlands, ditches and stonewalls, to organic vegetables, herbs, tunnels (all weather), composting, willow features, reed bed systems, cabins and Q the Kerry cow.

Formed in 2000. KEEP is an environmental education company that works directly with schools, community groups and special needs groups in the development of sustainable ongoing organic garden and native habitat projects.

Cabins

CabinsCabins on Gortbrack Organic Farm are going live in early 2009. Three timber frame cabins, run off solar panels and wood burning stoves, will be available for rent from early 2009. These cabins can be rented for the ideal secluded getaway, or for attending courses at Gortbrack

Training Courses

Training CoursesKEEP has been running in service training for primary school teachers for 3 years. This course gives teachers the tools to set up their own organic garden in their school grounds. Two courses are run at Gortbrack, through the KES every summer, in the first week and last week of the summer holidays.
